Grapeweb – More than spray diary system
Taken from AWRI eBulletin - Agrochemical update 02 July 2026.
The wine industry has ruled that vineyard use of paraquat, diquat, and paraquat/diquat combination products is no longer supported, effective 23 June 2026.
Key dates:
What's still allowed (temporarily): Existing stocks with old labels can continue to be purchased and used in vineyards until 22 June 2028. New manufacture under old labels has ceased.
How to identify affected stock: New labels will carry "RV2026" next to the APVMA Approval Number — any product without this marking and listing vineyard use is subject to the phase-out.
Action required: Audit your chemical inventory now for any paraquat or diquat products (alone or combined) and plan to exhaust or dispose of them before June 2028.
